Dark romance with a tough, independent heroine... Perfect recipe for a hot read

So. Damn. Good. Excellent writing. The characters have intense sexual chemistry from the onset, but there is character development and Tate and Jameson develop their feelings for each other in a believable way. AKA, it didn't happen over night. It may have been lust at first sight, but love doesn't come into the picture that easily for these two characters. Tate is a kick-ass, tough, independent heroine, and can dish out as good as she gets, and she gets a lot from Jameson. I loved her character, and how she stood up for herself to everyone, whenever.

Also, Jameson doesn't just open up to Tate immediately, he takes his time before revealing his kink, and by that time Tate is ready to handle whatever he throws her way (although I feel someone like Tate could've handled it from the beginning).

I was torn about the cliffhanger... And what happens at the ends. No spoilers, but damn! Now I'm stalking Fantome online trying to find out if she's released any other excerpts from Separation!

This book is dark. If you don't like reading dark erotica, don't read it! I love it.

First of all, this is a spoiler free review. Secondly, I won this book from a book blog and am incredibly happy that I did. This book is NOTHING like anything I've read before and that's meant as a compliment. Tatum and Jameson are nearly, one in the same, screwed up person. The sex is ROUGH and spectacular between them. And the ending...Bravo Stylo, bravo. You had me crying, anxious, scared and then pissed because you left me hanging. Yes folks, this ends in a cliffhanger. Brilliantly written. I grew attached to the characters immediately. Fast read because I didn't want to put it down. CAN NOT WAIT FOR BOOK 2!! Do not get this book if you do not like or can not handle reading rough, graphic sex and strong language is used throughout especially in sex scenes where it is the most graphic.

DARK. GRIPPING. EMOTIONAL. BRILLIANT.

OH. MY. GOSH. I am truly speechless right now! Page one of this book is a vacuum and this vacuum just sucked me in to the deepest darkest abyss I have ever known. The words on on this page became very much alive. They slowly climbed off of the page, reached past my mind and gripped my heart with no intention of letting it go.The writing was absolutely brilliant. The characters were so believable, had such layers, such depth. Make no mistake, this is a dark, dark erotic novel however the author still makes you feel the characters' sexual tension, elation, fear, sadness, uncertainty, loyalty, betrayal, everything. I am not usually one to buy a book knowing there is a huge cliffhanger, but I couldn't help it. I couldn't put it down. This was a brilliantly written masterpiece. One I won't soon forget. One I will be reading again. One whose conclusion I am eagerly anticipating.

Excellent French Language book for Teachers and Students

As a French tutor and French native, I love this book. It teaches all aspects of the French language: Conversation, Grammar, Vocabulary and includes excellent Exercises (with answers in the back).
I recommend it highly to everyone, both beginners and those wanting to perfect his or her skills.

I love French.

I love this book. It is easy to read and it is easy to carry. I use it as a reference book because I have never taken French before. Sometimes when I am unable to understand, the authors' explanations are simple and easy to read. I really like the book. I also have the Spanish one, and I like it too.

Like wringing a sponge and soaking in the French

Hello. I have had this book for a few months now. I would like to say that it has been a big help. First of all, I'm a junior in high school who's taking French and desperately needed a study guide. Well this was it. What I love about this is all the exercises that it comes with. Every chapter has around 12 sections of exercises where you get to practice what you have acquired the few pages before. Thanks to this book (and summer tutoring), I have learned enough French that I was able to skip second year of French at my school.

Some important notes:
If you don't know anything about the French language, you'll find this book a hard one (Even though it's a Step-by-Step self study guide). For one thing, there is not a book in the world that can ever teach you the pronunciation needed. As for me, I had my French teacher give me a whole summer of French tutoring for free. That really helped with correct enunciation. I would recommend to the absolute beginner (especially those who are monolingual) to get in contact with mentor to help explain the difficult part of prounounciation. As you may or may not know, 80% of French words have mute endings that might or might not get pronounced depending on the next syllable. You really want someone to guide you if you're a beginner. Also, before you dive into this book, understand these few concepts:

(First List)
- Verbal Aspects
- Verbal Tenses
- Verbal Moods (especially the subjunctive)
- Direct Objects
- Indirect Objects
- Antecedent
- Relative clauses
- Verb Valency

If you have a curious mind (like the one I do) Google and learn the following:

(Second List)
- Why does French have grammatical gender?
- Why does every adjective have to agree in number and in gender with the main noun?

You see, by learning the things in the first list, I was better able to grasp the difficult aspects required to speak any language (Pun intended). Believe it or not, verbs are like rocket-science. They are really hard to understand unless you practice them everyday. This book doesn't cover the items in the first list very well. I recommend you look them up before beginning this book.

The second list, you curious minded folks, is not actually going to help you learn any French nor make this book a better read. (Yes, you read that right.) Instead, this list (the 2nd one) will help keep you from getting discouraged of learning French. By knowing and acknowledging the fundamental principles driving Romantic languages, you'll understand why French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and many other languages have abstract nouns with sex (chairs have boobies? doors are chicks now?) that we, English speaking folk, find so foreign yet so enticing. (Yes, in French, the chair you are sitting on is female and the door as well. Treat them nice!)

To conclude, I recommend this book. Who wouldn't, n'est pas? [neh-pAH]

I have been prescribing testosterone for 5 years and I really believed I had done my homework well. But after reading "Testosterone: A Man's Guide", I realized that I was ignoring very important aspects of using this hormone! Unlike authors of other testosterone books, Nelson's search for health pushed him to try most of the options that he describes, so he provides practical "how-to" information. Aided by his chemical engineering degree and obsession for scientific data, he adds his own personal experience as he demystifies all testosterone myths by reviewing published studies. He also makes it easy for the reader to find a doctor in their area that prescribes testosterone by providing easily searchable directories. For those with no insurance, he shows you how to apply for patient assistance programs and research studies, and to obtain economical gels from compounding pharmacies (an important source that most men and doctors fail to access). To counteract side effects, he shows specific protocols to treat the enlargement of breasts and shrinkage of testicles that some men experience when using testosterone, and how to prevent potential cardiovascular problems caused by testosterone's increase of red blood cells. Unlike other books that claim that testosterone is the main solution to improve erectile strength, Nelson cautions that extra measures sometimes are needed by some men, and he specifies each one of them. He also adds to-the-point information about nutrition, supplements and exercise to maximize the benefits of testosterone. And he uncovers the false claims surrounding supplements believed to increase testosterone naturally. This book can save a lot of time and trouble for any man that is serious about his health!

most detailed, practical book I've read

When my libido seemed to fall off a cliff in my mid-30s, I got tested and discovered that my testosterone was very low for my age. I'm actually a physician myself, but I can tell you first-hand that this is not something we learn much about in medical school or residency. The medical profession, like anything else, can be slow to change and can be influenced by the negative public perceptions of testosterone in the media. I read every book and article I could on testosterone replacement. Nelson's book was the most detailed and practical guide available and I decided to ask his help to find the best physician to provide testosterone replacement in my city. The doctor he recommended is one of the most intelligent, warm, and compassionate physicians I have ever met. If you are suffering from low testosterone Nelson's book is a must-read, and if you have questions or need assistance, call him. He knows much more about testosterone than most of us doctors, I assure you, and he is so intellectually curious that he even sent me journal articles specific to some of my questions. Good luck.

As well as writing two other book in our In Detail Series, Sunbeam-Talbot & Alpine In Detail, Jaguar XK120 In Detail and Jaguar XK140/150 In Detail, Anders has previously written 15 books, mostly on MG and Austin-Healey cars, including the famous Original titles but also books on Mini-Cooper, Porsche, Volvo, the Le Mans 24-hour race, and a popular history of Jaguar, and he has contributed to several magazines. He was one of the authors of the centenary history of the British motor industry and is a member of the Society of Automotive Historians. He is a keen motorcyclist and lives in Birmingham England.

Simply excellent

As a BMW 2002 & Z4 owner, driver, and BMW fanatic in general, I was exposed to Austin Healeys at the Alpine 500 vintage California rally this year. Being that purchasing books is cheaper than taking the plunge into purchasing cars, I grabbed two books on Austin Healeys. Two books on restoration, by accident. I really needed a guide on these fine cars.

Fortunately for me, this book is an EXCELLENT historical reference. This is not a how to restore an Austin Healey, this is a what you need, by VIN, to take yours back to original.

The author painstakingly dug through Austin Healey records to catalogue the changes within the series and between the years. Truly a monumental task. If only BMW had kept such detailed records between individual cars.

In the BMW world there is Mobile Tradition. MT will send you the build date, original color, and dealership that originally sold your car if you send them a VIN. With this guide, you get so much more. You get what suspension goes with your VIN, what brakes, when the brakes became disc in the front, at what VIN this was changed, at what VIN this manufacturer took over making the starter, etc..

Truly, this book is a wealth of knowledge for a person new to Austin Healeys and for someone looking to restore one to an original configuration. As a novice, the wealth of information can be overloading. However, the color pictures (some of Concours winners!) do make the nitty gritty details all that more enjoyable.

I'm off to find myself an Austin Healey!

Not quite enough images to remake an entire car to concours originality, but you can get pretty far.I have a BN4, and have used dash, engine compartment, and trunk images as a guide to restoration for my particular car. Other cars are as well documented. The images are very nice and the text is clear.

A fine member of a great series

This is an example of a series about vintage British cars, by well-known expert Anders Ditlev Klausager. I started many years ago with the one of T-series MG's, as the proud owner of a 1950 TD.

I learnt a lot and was able to improve the originality of my car. It is worth noting that the author points to non-original items and discusses controversial features and dates, so it is possible to use these books as a standard for restoration.

I presently own five of them and plan to collect more from the series.

Really? More acronyms.......

This is a great resource, but it is big and the font is small. They also use a lot of acronyms you need to remember, albeit easy, but still more nevertheless. Since this is a resource for you to learn and pass the PMP test, having to memorize chart acronyms is a bit much. With smarter layout they could avoid this.

In general was OK but could have been a better product

Product was OK, but in my opinion I think it was quite big and I would have prefered to have be like a laminated sheet in order to preserve it better.

Checkmate! Here is a book fit for kings, queens and knights and a book not to be pawned. I, with my sick humor could not work a rook into my diatribe. In any event, this is a fantastic and inspiring book for all woodworkers. In a word, unique! This is perhaps the best way of describing the contents of this book. Author Kape has a great imagination and it is well projected in this fabulous book. There are, as the cover suggests, 15 one-of-a-kind projects for the scroll saw. There is a classic and two neo-classic sets that are close to traditional but certainly unique as cut with the scrollsaw. There is also a set reminiscent of the Knights of the Round Table, a classic Greek set, a Czarist set and an Olde English set. Add these to the architectural collection like Paris, Canterbury, Venice, Rome and San Francisco and you have a fully rounded out chess set collection that is to die for. Now, if you were counting you will realize that the list is short by four. These are made up by the author's plans for a chess board, a travelling chess board, a storage box and a vertical wall mounted chess set. Kape provides the sawyer with full plans and scale drawings for all of the above as well as a full list of materials. As an avid chess player and/or a scroll sawyer you will really appreciate this book.

About the Author
Jim Kape has been working with wood since childhood. One of his chess sets took a First Place Blue Ribbon at the 2009 Excellence in Woodworking show sponsored by the Arizona Association of Fine Woodworkers. Another of his set designs won a county and state fair award in Utah.

Making Wooden Chess sets

I ordered this book for my husband who does all the scroll sawing in the house because he had seen in a magazine a pattern for a chess set. He decided he wanted to try making one for himself, but the set in the magazine was a little more difficult for his level of expertise, so he wanted to try a simpler one. When we got the book, very speedy shipping by the way, he immeadiately went to town cutting some pieces out. He found the instructions with many pictures VERY helpful in learning how to cut the compound cuts needed to make each piece. Needless to say, he had made his own chess set in a couple of weeks and is now working on several more! I would definately recommend this book to someone who is interesterd in learning a new technique on the scroll saw.

I found this book to be excellent. The paterns are complex and the hints for the builder are also good. Building the chess pieces,however, is not at all easy when using one and a half inch wood.

Jim Kape is a fantastic designer and Artist , and this book is very well written .
Ive been wanting a quality chess set for some time , but good sets are like 3-4 hundred
with a wood board - I believe I can make a simalar quality set with board using this book .

I love the designs of the different sets in the book -they are gorgeous !
